We sometimes have the tendency to want to display everything we have. But then it gets jumbled and nothing is really special or featured. When you take away some of the stuff and display less, it becomes more important. Pack some of it away and switch it around from time to time for variety.

Certainly there are other home decorating styles not listed, because ultimately it’s about what you like. Maybe you’re a hopeless romantic and you want frills and lace. Do you find yourself collecting things? That’s also a style that can work—if you know how to display without looking cluttered. Or, you may be passionate about blue. Everything centers around shades of this color. Ocean blue, peacock, marine, icy, cool blue and pale pastel. If that’s what you love, then go for it! You can make it work.
